The canton of Chacoma is an administrative district in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The canton of Chacoma is one of twelve cantons of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Patacamaya in the province of Aroma and is located in the central eastern part of the district. It borders in the north on the canton of Chiarumani , in the north-west on the canton of Villa Concepción de Belén , in the south-west on the canton Patacamaya , and in the south-east on the canton Colchani .

The canton extends between 17 ° 11 '40 "and 17 ° 14' 20" south latitude and 67 ° 51 'and 67 ° 55' west latitude, it measures from north to south up to four kilometers and from west to east up to six kilometers. The canton consists of only one village ( localidad ), the scattered settlement Chacoma with 322 inhabitants ( 2012 ) in the northern part of the canton.
