Pulpit in Liffré

The pulpit in the Catholic Church of St-Michel in Liffré , a French parish in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was created in 1894. The pulpit was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1984 as Monument historique .

The multicolored marble pulpit was designed by the architect Arthur Regnault. The shape of the gilded metal sound cover was inspired by the domed structures of Byzantine architecture . The pulpit wall simulates a mosaic .
