The Kaolang Forest Park is a forest area in the West African state of Gambia .
topography
The approximately 7.6 by 3.8 kilometers large area of the tree savannah is typical of the Sudan Zone and is located in the Central River Region , in the districts of Niamina East and Fulladu West . It lies on both sides of the South Bank Road , Gambia's main trunk road , along the section between Soma and Brikama Ba . The Kaolang Forest Park is about twelve kilometers before Brikama Ba and eight kilometers after Kundang .
In the dry season , the tree population is regularly threatened by bush fires .
