history
2007: beginnings
KARA debuted in 2007 with the four members Gyuri (Leader), Seungyeon, Sunghee and Nicole. DSP Entertainment, the group was to succeed Fin.KL praised. Her first studio album, the First Bloooooming , was released on March 29, 2007 in South Korea. The album is shaped by R&B and pop music . To present the album, the songs Break It , Mame Deulmyeon ("맘 에 들면", If U Wanna ) and Secret World received music videos and were performed live. The First Bloooooming was moderately successful. In July, the group finished promotions for the album.

The group started preparing for the next release. However, on February 28, 2008, it was announced that Sung-hee was leaving the group. She had promised her father that despite her commitment to the group she would be able to successfully pass school. However, when she failed the university entrance exam, her father pulled her out of the group.

On 24 July 2008, the newly formed five-member group released their first EP , rock underground .
