action

Eric and Sam Kulhane, two brothers, make a living by fighting in the street. When Eric meets the gangster Mario in Las Vegas and is humiliated, he wants to go back to professional combat. His father Rick, a former champion and now a drinker, is putting together a team for the world championship in kickboxing . He lets the two brothers go through the qualifying battles and takes them on to the US team. The World Cup takes place in Las Vegas, with Thailand being the big favorite . Eric is full of anticipation and also wants to marry his long-time girlfriend Cheryl. But the situation between the Thai and the US team escalates during one bowling evening . Eric injured the favorite Han Lo on the shoulder. When the two teams exchange blows at the wedding, Cheryl is offended and lets the wedding break.

She finds solace in the seedy businessman Jack Rodgers, who offers her his suite. Not without ulterior motives, because after the furious start of the US team, he tries to put Eric under pressure by using Cheryl as a deposit. He bet a not inconsiderable sum on the victory of the Thai team. However, Eric only appears to agree to the deal and gives his teammate Duke the attempt to bribe. However, this has also been bribed by Jack and reveals Eric's plans. Jack hires thugs through Mario who ambush Eric and try to knock him out. These injure Eric, but he can still participate in the competition. When Duke goes down after a weak blow from the Thai opponent, Eric realizes that he has betrayed him.

Before Eric's fight with Han Lo, Jack blackmailed him again and threatened the murder of Cheryl. However, Eric just wins against Han Lo and so does the US team. Jack and Mario take Cheryl to the roof of the arena. Eric makes it to the roof with the help of the purified duke. There he can kill Jack and free Cheryl. The two then get married in Las Vegas.
