The Kerbsattel ( Polish Karb ) is a mountain pass in the south of the Polish Lesser Poland Voivodeship in the High Tatras . The pass is located in the municipality of Zakopane on the ridge of the Kościelec massif and connects the Dolina Czarna Gąsienicowa with the Dolina Zielona Gąsienicowa . The pass is 1,853 m above sea level and borders the peaks of the Polish Chapel ( Kościelec ) and the Small Polish Chapel ( Mały Kościelec ).

▬ A black-marked hiking trail leads from the Polish Black Lake over the Small Polish Chapel peakto the pass and on to the Polish Chapel peak.
▬ A blue-marked hiking trail leads from the pass into the valley to the ▬ black-marked hiking trail on the Seealmsattel mountain pass( Świnicka Przełęcz ); he meets this at the Polish Black Lakes in the Seealm valley.
First ascent
The pass was in 1854 by Feliks Berdau climbed documented to have for the first time. It was known to the shepherds of the High Tatras as early as the 17th century and has certainly been climbed by them.
