The Small Polish Chapel ( Polish Mały Kościelec ) is a mountain in the High Tatras with an altitude of 1863  m npm and is located in Poland in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Powiat Tatrzański District and Zakopane Municipality .

Location and surroundings

The summit is on the Seealmgrat , the west of the Norgrats Seealmspitze valley Seealm branches.

Below the summit lie two valleys, the Dolina Zielona Gąsienicowa in the south and Dolina Czarna Gąsienicowa in the north.

The Small Polish Chapel is separated from the summit of the Polish Chapel in the west by the Kerbasttel .

etymology

The name of the mountain is derived from the nearby Polish Chapel ( Kościelec ) peak .

tourism

The summit is very popular with hikers because of the panorama from its summit. Hikers can get to the top of the Small Polish Chapel in various ways. They are considered difficult.

Routes to the summit

A hiking trail leads to the summit:

  • Alternatively, a blue hiking trail leads from the Polish Black Lake ( Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy ) or from the Seealmsattel mountain pass( Świnicka Przełęcz ) to the Kerbsattel ( Karb )mountain pass, where you meet the black hiking trail to the summit.
