The Hala Gąsienicowa alpine pasture is an alpine pasture in the Dolina Gąsienicowa valley in the Polish High Tatras and Western Tatras in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship .

history

The alpine pasture was established in the 17th century and was in operation until the Tatra National Park was founded in 1954. The Gąsienic family from Zakopane owned the pasture until 1700 and again from 1796 . The Alm was later divided several times. When the last owners were expropriated in 1961, almost 400 co-owners were affected.
