Karel Klančnik (born May 30, 1917 in Mojstrana , Austria-Hungary ; † December 8, 2009 , Slovenia ) was a Yugoslav ski jumper .

Career

Klančnik made his Olympic debut at the 1948 Winter Games in St. Moritz . On the Olympic hill, he jumped to 23rd place. Four years later at the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 he reached 29th place in individual jumping, tied with Austrian Hans Eder . At the first Four Hills Tournament in 1953 , he jumped to 17th place on the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck . After jumping to 11th place on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen , he finished his first and last tour in 19th place overall.

Karel Klančnik is the younger brother of Alojz Klančnik , who also competed in the Olympics as a cross-country skier.
