Karen Krauss

Karen Krauss (born January 12, 1964 ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court in Kassel .

Life

Karen Krauß studied law at universities in Hamburg and Freiburg . She completed her studies in 1988 with the first state examination in law. This was followed by her legal clerkship , which she completed with the second state examination in Stuttgart at the beginning of 1991. This was followed by a job as legal protection secretary for ÖTV in Berlin . In 1992 she became a judge in the social justice system of the State of Berlin. For the whole of 1997 she was seconded to the Berlin Regional Social Court and from June 1998 to September 1999 to the Federal Social Court. In May 1999 she was appointed judge at the Berlin Regional Social Court. Since July 1, 2005, she has been a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg State Social Court . During this time at the regional social courts , she was responsible for legal disputes in the areas of pension insurance , employment promotion , health insurance and basic security for job seekers. From July 2004 she was also a presidential judge in the court administration.

In September 2008 she became a judge at the Federal Social Court, where she is a member of the 14th Senate of the Federal Social Court, which is responsible for questions relating to basic security for jobseekers.

Karen Krauss also deals scientifically with contributions to manuals and legal commentaries with the procedural law , the Employment Promotion Law and the basic provision for jobseekers.
