Karl-Heinz Streibich (born November 5, 1952 in Schwarzach , Germany ) is a former CEO of Software AG . Since May 9, 2018, Streibich has been one of the two presidents of acatech - German Academy of Science and Engineering . He is also chairman of the supervisory board of Dürr AG and a member of the supervisory boards of Siemens Healthineers , Munich RE and Deutsche Telekom .

Life

Karl-Heinz Streibich studied communications engineering at the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences until 1981 (with distinction), before taking part in postgraduate courses at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Harvard Business School . After completing his studies, Streibich first worked at Dow Chemical Company in Rheinmünster, then at ITT Industries in London and from 1987 at ITT-SEL AG in Stuttgart. Between 1989 and 1996 he held various management positions at subsidiaries of Daimler-Benz and from 1996 to 2003 he was a member and later chairman of the management board at debis Systemhaus . Between 2000 and 2003 he was also deputy head of the management of T-Systems International . From 2003 to 2018 Streibich was CEO of Software AG in Darmstadt. During his tenure as CEO of Software AG, he was appointed one of two presidents at acatech - German Academy of Science and Engineering . The Hessian state government also appointed Streibich to its council for digital ethics and to the “digital pilot regions” advisory board. He is currently a member of numerous other supervisory boards and associations (as of 2019). In 2011, Karl-Heinz Streibich was named Strategist of the Year Germany by the Financial Times and Bain & Company in the category of sales <2.5 billion euros. In the same year, Software AG received the HSBC International Growth Strategy of the Year Award.
