Digital Ethics Council

The Council for Digital Ethics is a body in the field of digital policy , which the Hessian state government decided to set up on August 20, 2018 in the run-up to the Hessian state election together with other digital-political plans. The council is intended to advise the state government on questions of ethics in connection with digitization and the digital transformation of society. The council was constituted on September 19, 2018 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Volker Bouffier . The second meeting of the council took place on March 20, 2019. The digital policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group in the Hessian state parliament , Tobias Eckert , calls for the work of the council to be expanded with the expertise of the state parliament.
