After a Rudolf Hess memorial march in 2003 could not be prevented, Beck initiated the Democracy Day, which has been taking place in Wunsiedel since 2004, with a local alliance in order to prevent annual parades of neo-Nazis and right-wing extremists. In the course of this, Beck took part in a sit-down on the route of the move, which led to a summons to the then Bavarian Interior Minister Günther Beckstein . By exercising the right of first refusal for a property on the Luisenburg by the community, Beck prevented Jürgen Rieger's plan to open a local training and NPD election center and a Rudolf Hess memorial in 2007 . When the lease for Rudolf Hess 's grave expired, Beck obtained the liquidation in 2011, which was initially unnoticed. The aggravation of the criminal offense of incitement to hatred when the public peace is disturbed according to Section 130 of the Criminal Code is said to be largely due to Beck's hearings in the Interior Committee of the Bundestag .

With lectures and public appeals, Beck encouraged municipalities in similar situations to imitate the "Wunsiedler Weg" and civil disobedience, which is characterized by commitment , close civil society cooperation and the prevention of extremism . Beck spoke out several times for a ban on the NPD and the withdrawal of informants from the party environment.
