Schuback Parfümerien is a German perfumery chain based in Lübeck .

history

In 1947 Louis and Charlotte Schuback opened a drugstore in Lübeck. In 1956, today's headquarters in Lübeck was taken over. After daughter Iris and her husband Heinrich Wagner took over the company in 1979, the restructuring from drugstore to perfumery began. The company has grown in recent years by taking over other perfumeries: in 2007, branches of the Bödecker perfumery were taken over in Pinneberg and Rellingen . In 2013, the number of branches doubled through the takeover of 20 Wilde perfumeries with 130 employees. In 2017 the company expanded to Versmold , where it took over three perfumeries from Uwe Reinking. In 2018, the company expanded into southern Germany for the first time: Schuback acquired seven perfumeries from Ulrich Murrmann in Baden-Württemberg , including the perfumeries Maack in Möhringen and Hoppenkamps in Baden-Baden . In 2020 the Wöhrle sisters sold their perfumery in Winnenden to Schuback.

Company structure and locations

Today the company is run in the third generation by Christian Wagner and managing director Martina Thoms. The company offers all newborn employees a secure apprenticeship place in the future and has an emergency fund for employees. Schuback has 60 branches with around 500 employees in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg , Bremen , Hamburg , Lower Saxony , North Rhine-Westphalia , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein .
