Karl Arndt (doctor)

Karl Arndt (born April 1, 1889 in Fürstenberg ; † after January 23, 1943 , missing in Stalingrad ) was a German medic and medical officer .

Life

Arndt joined the Prussian Army on April 1, 1909 . In the course of the general mobilization from 1938 he was reactivated and was from August 26, 1939 division doctor of the 62nd Infantry Division . On July 14, 1942 he was promoted to corps physician of the LI. Army Corps , in whose ranks Arndt was involved in the German attack on Stalingrad . There, in the last days of the fighting in January 1943, his trace was lost.

Karl Arndt was promoted several times during his service on April 1, 1935, Surgeon , on 1 January 1938 Oberfeldarzt and on November 1, 1940 Colonel doctor . He was posthumously appointed general physician on October 1, 1944 .
