Karl Bachmann (politician, 1911)

Karl Bachmann (born October 15, 1911 in Kassel , † December 29, 1997 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school, Karl Bachmann attended the Hessian Administration Academy and worked in administration in the Evangelical Church of Hesse-Waldeck and in the Association of Evangelical Churches in Kassel. He had been a member of the NSDAP since May 1, 1937 ( membership number 5.442.414). After the end of the war, Bachmann was a member of the CDU and from 1959 to 1966 CDU district chairman in Kassel-Stadt and a member of the state board of the CDU Hessen.

From December 1, 1958 to November 30, 1966 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1964 he was a member of the 4th Federal Assembly .

In 1972 he was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany.
