Karl Back

Karl Back (pseudonym: Florian ) (born February 23, 1799 in Eisenberg ; † June 6, 1869 in Altenburg ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a lawyer , Back studied law in Jena from 1818 to 1821 , where he became a member of the original fraternity in 1818 . He was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . From 1821 he was a lawyer, from 1827 city counsel , from 1830 city clerk in Eisenberg. From 1831 to 1837 he was editor of the Teutscher Patrioten . In 1837 he became a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Altenburg for the city of Eisenberg. In 1837 he came as a Councilor in the state government . In 1838 he was a co-founder of the history and antiquity research society of the Osterland in Altenburg . In 1851 he became chairman of the general commission. In 1852 he became a secret councilor .

In 1823 he was admitted to the Archimedes Masonic Lodge to the three drawing boards in Altenburg, where he held the office of master from the chair from 1838 to 1844 , then until 1856 that of the headmaster and subsequently that of a deputy master from the chair. He was an honorary member there and in 17 other lodges.
