Karl Friedrich Closs (born March 25, 1768 in Housholredyk near The Hague or in Hanau ; † May 20, 1797 in Tübingen ) was Professor of Anatomy and Surgery at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Karl Friedrich Closs studied in Tübingen , Würzburg , Marburg and Berlin . From 1790 he was a Prussian chief surgeon. In 1792 he received an honorary medical doctorate (Dr. med. Hc) from the University of Marburg . In 1792 he became associate professor of medicine in Tübingen and in 1793 head of the clinic there. In 1795 he became a full professor of anatomy and surgery in Tübingen. He died of nerve fever in Tübingen .
