Carl Friedrich Stephan, Count of Otting and Fünfstetten, Baron von Schönfeld (born September 22, 1767 in Pont-à-Mousson ; † September 18, 1834 at Schloss Fünfstetten ) was the royal Bavarian treasurer , lieutenant general and adjutant general , half-brother of the Bavarian King Maximilian I. . , Owner of the manors Otting and Fünfstetten and progenitor of the Counts of Otting and Fünfstetten.

Life

Friedrich, so the nickname, was an illegitimate posthumously born son of Count Palatine Friedrich Michael von Pfalz-Birkenfeld from his connection with Louise Chaveau .

On July 29, 1813, Friedrich was registered as royal Bavarian chamberlain, colonel and royal wing adjutant as Freiherr von Schönfeld in the Bavarian aristocratic register with the addition of the coat of arms of the extinct von Wemding family. On July 16, 1817, as Bavarian major general and wing adjutant , Friedrich received the name and dignity of Count von Otting and Fünfstetten for himself and all his descendants with the addition of the coat of arms of the extinct von Otting family .
