Karl Grimm

Karl Grimm (born May 16, 1826 in Kassel , † June 23, 1893 in Neuwied ) was a German lawyer and member of the Reichstag.

Life

Grimm studied law in Bonn and Marburg , where he was awarded a Dr. jur. received his doctorate . During his studies he became a member of the Fridericia Bonn fraternity in 1844 and was a co-founder of the Frankonia fraternity in 1845 ; In 1844 he joined the Corps Hasso-Nassovia . From 1841 to 1851 he was a trainee lawyer in Hanau and later a senior court attorney and judiciary in Marburg. He was a co-founder of the German Conservative Party . 1871–1874 and 1884–1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel 5 ( Marburg - Frankenberg - Kirchhain ) and from 1879–1888 also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Kassel 9 (Kirchhain – Frankenberg). His brother was Julius Grimm .
