Karl Hannemann

Karl Hannemann (born March 4, 1895 in Freiberg , † November 6, 1953 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

The son of a theater director volunteered at the theater in 1914 and made his debut in the same year at the Berlin Schillertheater . He stood on various stages in the capital, including 1934 to 1937 at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm and from 1940 to 1941 at the Deutsches Theater . In 1944, shortly before the end of the war, he was added to the God-gifted list.

In the beginning he only had sporadic appearances in film, but since the early 1930s he has worked as a supporting actor in numerous productions. He embodied factots, servants, buddies, petty criminals and other characters of this kind.

After the end of the war, he was able to build on his film career at DEFA , but ended his work in film in 1949. As a stage actor he worked again at the Deutsches Theater and from 1948 at the Schlossparktheater and at the Schillertheater in West Berlin .
