Karl Henning von Barsewisch

Paul Theophil Karl Henning von Barsewisch (born October 2, 1895 in Karlsruhe , † November 19, 1981 in Wedel ) was a German major general and banker.

Life

He came from the original noble family von Barsewisch and is the third child of Theophil von Barsewisch and his wife Luise, née von Schkopp. Barsewisch embarked on a career in the Prussian Army , took part in the First World War and was dismissed as first lieutenant . He was a leaseholder of a manor and became managing director of a settlement company and major general in the Air Force during World War II . In 1944 he received the German Cross in Gold for his achievements .

In Groß Pankow he married Elisabeth Gans Edle Herrin zu Putlitz on February 11, 1921. Bernhard von Barsewisch also emerged from this marriage . In March 1945 his family fled to Oedelum near Hildesheim . He became a British prisoner of war. After his dismissal in 1947, he took on a role as import and export merchant and became the owner of the Lücke & Lemmermann bank in Hanover .
