Karl Heydemann

Karl Max Albrecht Friedrich Heydemann (born March 13, 1845 in Waren ; † October 28, 1904 in Rostock ) was a lawyer , mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Karl Heydemann attended high schools in Potsdam and Güstrow and studied law from 1863 to 1866 at the universities of Berlin , Tübingen , Leipzig and Rostock . From 1869 he was a lawyer in Waren and then in Rostock. In 1872 he became mayor and city judge in Sülze and in 1876 in Ticino . In 1879, after the administration and jurisdiction were separated in Mecklenburg, he was appointed district court advisor in Güstrow, later president of the district court and finally president of the higher regional court in Rostock.

From 1881 to 1884 he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin  6 ( Güstrow , Ribnitz ) and the National Liberal Party . His sons Carl Heydemann (1878–1939, Lord Mayor of Stralsund ), Ernst Heydemann (1876–1930, Lord Mayor of Rostock) and Heinrich Heydemann (1881–1973, Lord Mayor of Güstrow) were also politically active.
