Karl Hoppe (politician, 1934)

Karl Hoppe (born December 6, 1934 in Struth (Eichsfeld) , † December 13, 2002 in Simmern (Westerwald) ) was a German teacher and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Karl Hoppe, who was a Catholic denomination, attended the Struth elementary school from 1941 to 1949 and passed his Abitur at the state secondary school in Dingelstädt / Eichsfeld in 1953 . From 1953 to 1955 he studied at the Pedagogical Institute in Mülhausen / Thuringia and from 1955 to 1956 at the Pedagogical Academy in Landau. In 1956 he passed his first and in 1959 his second state examination and from 1956 was a teacher at elementary schools. In 1967 he became vice principal in Neuhäusel.

politics

Hoppe became a member of the CDU in 1957. From 1959 to 1967 he was district chairman of the JU Unterwesterwald and from 1963 to 1969 a member of the JU state board of Rhineland-Palatinate. In the CDU he was chairman of the CDU Simmern / Westerwald, chairman of the CDU district association Westerwald and from 1971 a member of the district committee of the CDU Koblenz-Montabaur.

In terms of local politics, he was a member of the Unterwesterwald and Westerwald district councils from 1960 and a member of the Simmern / Westerwald municipal council from 1964, where he became first councilor in 1964. In the circle he was a member of the district committee from 1968 and from 1969 chairman of the CDU district assembly in Unterwesterwald and Westerwald. He was a member of the board of the Rhineland-Palatinate district assembly.

From December 16, 1974 to January 1, 1987, from May 27, 1987 to June 24, 1987 and most recently from May 21, 1991 to September 30, 1992, he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . In the state parliament he was chairman of the budget and finance committee in the 9th and 10th electoral terms. From January 1987 to May 1987 and June 1987 to May 1991 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.

In addition, he was a member of the administrative board of the Kreissparkasse Westerwald , the supervisory board of Koenig & Bauer AG Würzburg and Frankenthal, the board of trustees of the state center for political education and the education and training association (VBE).
