Karl Kautzky (born August 9, 1948 in Gmünd ) is an Austrian trombonist , composer and arranger .

Career

Karl Kautzky comes from a family of musicians (grandfather and father) and received piano lessons from 1955 and trombone lessons from 1957. Kautzky studied trombone and piano at the Vienna Music Academy , later he studied composition with Otto Siegl . At the age of 16, Bad Schallerbach spa orchestra. 1st solo concert played (Serafin Alschausky). 1967 Kurorchester Lindau. From 1967 to 2011 solo trombonist with the Lower Austrian Tonkünstler . Played under conductors such as: Heinz Wallberg, Zubin Mehta, Milan Horvath, Miltiades Caridis, Ralph Weikart, Johannes Wildner, Carlos Kalmar, Arvid Jansons, Mariss Jansons, Isaac Karabtchevsky, Karl Richter, Hans Swarowsky, Karl Etti. Over 150 concerts in the Music Antiqua cycle with the Clemencic Consort in the Brahms Hall of the Musikverein. Concerts at La Scala in Milan, at St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, at the Flanders Festival in Brussels, at the Puccini Festival Lucca, Carinthian Summer Ossiach, concert in the Sydney Opera House. TV appearance with Fatty George, concert with the N.Ö. Sound artists with Joe Zawinul.
