Life

Karl Landgrebe trained as a primary school teacher and passed the church music examination. At first he worked as a pianist and accompanist. Then he became a lecturer at the Berlin Music Academy . In 1935 he took over the management of the College for Music Education and Church Music (before 1933 Academy for Church and School Music ) in Berlin, where church musicians and school musicians were trained. He particularly encouraged the oratorio singer Adele Stolte , a daughter of the pastor of the Friedenskirche.
