Karl Mühlek

Karl Mühlek (born July 25, 1930 in Röttingen ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Karl Mühlek was on July 19, 1953 for the Diocese of Wurzburg for priests ordained and then was chaplain and vocational teachers in Schweinfurt . Later he was Subregens in the seminary of Würzburg , before he worked as a teacher at the Würzburg University of Education and in the school department of this diocese.

In 1975 he came to the Philosophical-Theological University in Passau as a professor of education and catechetics . He was one of the founding fathers of the University of Passau in 1978 and has since been full professor for religious education and catechetics at the Catholic-Theological Faculty. He worked here for a total of 36 years.

After his retirement in 1998, he worked as a visiting professor at the Catholic Pedagogical Faculty St. Ondrej at the University of Žilina in Ružomberok in Slovakia until 2001 .

Mühlek wrote numerous articles in the Biographical-Bibliographical Church Lexicon (BBKL).
