Karl Müller (Germanist)

Karl Müller (born June 16, 1950 in Puch near Hallein ) is an Austrian Germanist.

Live and act

The associate professor (since 1998) and former head of German studies (2007 to 2011) at the Institute for German Studies at the University of Salzburg publishes on Austrian literature, the history of literary studies and literary politics. He also reads at national and international universities.

Karl Müller is chairman of the Theodor Kramer Society and was chairman of the board of the association " Salzburger Literaturhaus Eizenbergerhof ". He lives in Oberalm . In 2010 he was awarded the Great Merit of the State of Salzburg.
