Karl Mann (politician)
Karl Ludwig Mann (born September 27, 1850 in Bayreuth , † June 24, 1925 in Munich ) was a German politician .
Life
Born the son of a senior teacher, Mann studied law in Erlangen and Munich after attending the Bayreuth grammar school . During his studies in Erlangen, he became a member of the Bubenreuther fraternity in 1868 . In the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71 he took part as a war volunteer with the 6th Royal Bavarian Jäger Battalion .
After his studies he became district assessor in Dinkelsbühl and in 1883 mayor of Rothenburg ob der Tauber , in 1886 he received his solemn engagement and official briefing. As such, he made a contribution to the renovation and maintenance of the old town , had green spaces built, as well as water and electricity works , a public shower bath and a gym . From 1886 he administered the Rothenburg ob der Tauber district office . In 1894 he became a member of the Central Franconian District Administrator and belonged to the Bavarian General Synod . In 1907 he retired and moved to Munich in 1908.
