Karl Missel
Karl Missel (born December 6, 1935 in Ostrach ; † May 9, 2014 in Sigmaringen ) was a German Catholic clergyman and rector . Missel headed the Archbishop's Study Home St. Fidelis in Sigmaringen from 1967 to 2002 .
Missel was born in Ostrach in 1935 and, after graduating from high school in 1956, studied Catholic theology in Freiburg im Breisgau and Munich . It was founded in 1961 by the Freiburg Archbishop Hermann Schäufele for priests ordained. Vicariats followed in Triberg , Konstanz and Stockach .
From 1967 to 2002, Missel headed the Archbishop's Student Home St. Fidelis in Sigmaringen for over 35 years. For his pedagogical work, he was appointed a clergy ad honorem in 1982 . In 1987 he was appointed monsignor because of his pastoral work . During his time as rector he also acted as a teacher for the Catholic religion at the Hohenzollern high school in Sigmaringen. Missel was buried in his hometown Ostrach.
