Karl Nastelski

Karl August Nastelski (born September 21, 1899 in Remscheid ; † March 11, 1972 ) was a doctorate German lawyer and President of the Senate at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

Karl Nastelski was the son of a Rhenish notary and grew up in the Bergisches Land . After his legal training, he worked as a judge in a chamber for patent matters at the Düsseldorf Regional Court and then in the patent panel of the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court .

On January 5, 1953, he was appointed to the Federal Court of Justice. He was a member of the First Civil Senate responsible for commercial legal protection including patent law . After his appointment as Senate President, Nastelski was from February 1958 Chairman of the Second Civil Senate , which deals with corporate law, among other things . From January 1, 1963 until his retirement on September 30, 1967, he headed the 10th Civil Senate .

Karl August Nastelski also worked as a law teacher at the University of Karlsruhe . In January 1967 he was made an honorary professor.
