Karl Paul Gebhardt (born January 25, 1905 in St. Veit , Carinthia, † September 13, 1941 in the USSR) was an Austrian politician ( NSDAP ).

After attending primary school , Gebhardt had been working as an unskilled worker in construction since he was twelve. At thirteen he became a hunting boy on an estate. A year later he began an apprenticeship which he completed in May 1922. He then worked for three months in a coal mine in Styria and then for nine months in a rolling mill in Donawitz. From 1923 to 1924 he earned his living as a machine fitter in the Wietersdorf cement works and then until 1926 as an unskilled worker in Tyrol and Vorarlberg . This was followed by jobs as a foreman and superstructure worker at the Austrian Federal Railways . From 1927 to October 1929 Gebhardt worked as a chauffeur in the St. Veit building district in the road administration. Until March 1928 he worked for the Trampitsch car company in Friesach .

In 1932 Gebhardt joined the NSDAP. Between October 1932 and July 1934 he was leader of the National Socialist Motor Vehicle Corps (NSKK) in Carinthia , most recently with the rank of senior squad leader. After the reorganization of the NSDAP in September 1934, he was entrusted with rebuilding the political organization in the St. Veit district. From 1935 to September 1936 he was Sturmbannführer of the SA . In November 1936 he was recalled and was district chairman of the National Socialist Company Cell Organization (NSBO) in Carinthia and East Tyrol. In May 1938 he moved from the NSBO ​​to the German Labor Front (DAF) and was DAF Gauamtsleiter and Gauobmann for Carinthia until his death.

After Austria was " annexed " to the German Reich , Gebhardt was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for Austria from April 1938 until his death in 1941 . After his death, his mandate was continued by Peter Feistritzer .

Gebhardt died in combat operations in 1941 as a participant in the Second World War .
