Karl Prahl
Karl Prahl (born October 5, 1882 in Hamburg , † September 7, 1948 in Kummerfeld ) was a German painter and graphic artist.
Life
Prahl studied first at the Hamburg State Art School in Hamburg and then in 1902/1903 in Munich.
During his studies he became a member of the Cheruskia Hamburg armed forces , the later Corps Irminsul , to which he belonged until his death. He was also a member of the Hamburg Freemason Lodge Ferdinande Caroline .
Prahl was married to Maria Kunde , who ran a well-known art salon in Hamburg .
He was a member of one of the most important Hamburg artists' associations, the Hamburg Secession . He was also a member of the Hamburg Art Association . His works mainly show northern German landscapes and people.
