Karl Sardagna (born January 10, 1731 in Trient , Principality of Trento , † August 22, 1775 in Regensburg , Upper Palatinate ) was a Jesuit and religion teacher.

Sardagna came from the old line of the barons Sardagna von Thun and Hohenstein .

He studied at the University in Munich where he performed well into the "Society of Jesus". He successfully completed his studies in 1758 at the Altötting College with work on dogmatics and exegesis .

In 1768 Sardagna accepted a position as professor of dogmatics and polemics at the Episcopal Lyceum in Regensburg; It was one of the last official acts of Bishop Clemens Wenzeslaus of Saxony when he brought Sardagna to his college.

When Pope Clement XIV dissolved the Jesuit order in 1773, Sardagna stayed at the school as a “secular” teacher. Until its dissolution, he looked after the library there and worked in the diocese of Regensburg as an examinator synodalis .
