Karl Schober (born November 3, 1898 in Konstanz , † June 11, 1973 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Karl Schober attended elementary school and became a driver . In the First World War he was a soldier and was wounded. In 1921 he was recognized as severely damaged by war and joined the Reich Association of War Participants and War Victims . During the Second World War , Schober was drafted into the Wehrmacht , became a driver there and was then taken prisoner by the Soviets .

After the war, Schober joined the SPD in Berlin in 1945 and became deputy district chairman in the district council assembly in the Prenzlauer Berg district . Since Anna Schmidt moved to West Berlin , Schober moved in April 1950 for eight months to the city ​​council of Greater Berlin . Most recently, he was the chairman of the supervisory board of the Berlin Taxibesitzer eGmbH.
