Karl Spiegel (born May 4, 1868 in Hilden , † July 22, 1932 in Bielefeld ) was a German trade unionist and social democratic politician.

Spiegel was the son of a small farmer and trained as a plumber after primary school . He then went on a hike and did his military service from 1888 to 1889. He then worked as a metal worker until 1901.

Spiegel joined the SPD and a free trade union in 1887 . In 1889 he was a co-founder of several professional associations. Between 1893 and 1898 Spiegel was a board member of the SPD. Between 1894 and 1901 he was also on the board of the branch of the German Metalworkers' Association in Düsseldorf . Between 1910 and 1920 Spiegel was full-time district manager of the DMV for Rhineland and Westphalia . Then he was district manager for the administrative districts of Minden , Münster , and Osnabrückas well as the Lippe states with headquarters in Bielefeld. He was also a member of the union agitation commission for Rhineland and Westphalia between 1905 and 1920.

Between 1925 and 1928 and between 1930 and 1932 Spiegel was Gau chairman of the Reichsbanner Black-Red-Gold for the Westphalia-East area.

Spiegel was a member of the German Reichstag for the first time between 1912 and 1918, then between 1922 and 1924 and most recently from 1928 to 1930.
