Karl Stöber (writer)
Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Stöber (born November 30, 1796 in Pappenheim , † January 6, 1865 there ) was a German writer and Evangelical Lutheran clergyman . Together with Sophie Hoechstetter, he is one of Pappenheim's two great writers. His son was the writer Wilhelm Stöber .
Life
Karl Stöber was born in 1796 as the son of a pharmacist in Pappenheim in Central Franconia in Treuchtlinger Haus (Deisingerstraße 14). From 1811 he attended high school in Ansbach . From 1814 to 1818 he studied theology in Erlangen . During his studies he was first renonce of the Landsmannschaft der Ansbacher and then co-founded the fraternity of the Bubenreuther . In 1818 he worked as a tutor for the Counts of Pappenheim . In 1819 he became sub-rector and pastor adjunct in Pappenheim, in 1834 second pastor in Weißenburg and in 1842 first pastor and dean in Pappenheim. He wrote several smaller stories that appeared in three volumes between 1841 and 1843. His works dealt with practical Christianity and Lutheran piety. He also devoted himself to local poetry . Stöber died in his hometown in 1865 at the age of 68.
