Karl Steiner (Chief Bailiff)
Karl Anton Steiner (born May 6, 1861 in Heidelsheim , † January 1, 1929 in Baden-Baden ) was a German administrative officer.
Life
Karl Steiner, son of a mill owner, studied law at the universities of Freiburg , Leipzig and Heidelberg from 1880 to 1884 after attending the grammar school in Bruchsal . In 1881 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Freiburg . In 1885 he became a legal intern and in 1889 a trainee lawyer. After working as a service administrator and assistant at numerous district offices, he became a clerk at the Mannheim district office in 1896 and in 1897 senior clerk and board member of the Oberkirch district office . In 1903 he became the head of the Weinheim district office . In 1910 he was appointed a secret councilor and in 1912 was transferred to the Offenburg district office as a member of the administrative board . In 1919 he came to the Mannheim district office , was initially deputy state commissioner in Mannheim and was the head of the Mannheim district office from 1920 until his retirement in 1924.
