Karl Stolz (District Administrator)

Karl Stolz (born June 19, 1913 in Unterbrüden ; † July 6, 2001 in Ludwigsburg ) was a German district administrator and president of the Württemberg Savings Banks and Giro Association.

Life

Proudly graduated from high school in Cannstatt in 1931 . In the summer semester he began studying law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen , which he continued at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

At the end of 1934 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht , accepted into the officer's career and retired as a major at the end of the war .

In March 1946 he joined the Württemberg pension administration. Initially, he was head of administration at the central clinic in Göppingen and, after passing the transitional examination for the senior service, head of the Ulm and Karlsruhe pension offices . After being promoted to the Upper Government Council, he worked in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Labor .

In February 1961, Stolz was elected District Administrator of the Ludwigsburg district. He held this office until February 1967.

In March 1967, Karl Stolz, who had previously also been chairman of the administrative board of Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg as district administrator , was elected President of the Württemberg Savings Banks and Giro Association. His opponent was the former finance minister of Baden-Württemberg and FDP state chairman Hermann Müller . He headed the association until 1981. He also chaired the Supervisory Board of Württembergische Kreditverein AG .

Since 1931 Stolz was a member of the Tübingen Landsmannschaft Scotland . He also founded the Ludwigsburg Favorite Lions Club in 1969 .
