Karl Udel
Karl Udel , even Carl Udel or Karl Udl , (* 6. February 1844 in Varazdin , † 27. January 1927 in Vienna ) was a cellist , singer ( tenor ) and composer , he worked in 1871 at the Komische Quartet of Vienna Men's Choral Society with, was also active at the Carltheater and the Theater in der Josefstadt .
From 1876 to 1897 he taught the cello at the Conservatory of the Society of Friends of Music in Vienna .
His honorary grave is in the Vienna Central Cemetery (33A-5-30).
In 1938 the Udelweg in the 11th Viennese district Simmering was named after him.
