Karl Wielandt

Karl Georg Anton Wilhelm Wielandt (born June 25, 1830 in Karlsruhe , † January 3, 1914 in Karlsruhe) was a German judge .

Life

He studied law in Heidelberg and Berlin. In 1853, Wielandt from Baden was sworn in as a legal intern. He was appointed trainee lawyer in 1855 and came to the Ministry of Justice as secretary in 1860. In 1861/62 he became court judge in Bruchsal and in 1864 district judge in Karlsruhe. In 1871 he was appointed senior court judge in Mannheim. In 1879 he came to the Imperial Court. From 1879 he was in the 1st Penal Senate. and from June 1885 active in the 2nd Civil Senate . In 1899 he was awarded the Commander's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Zähringer Löwen . When he retired in March 1900, he was awarded the star for the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves. He spent his retirement in Karlsruhe.

family

His parents were Karl Wielandt (1792–1862), a military widow and orphan agent in Karlsruhe, and Sophie Auguste Kaufmann (1804–1873). The Germanist Otto Behaghel was his nephew. He was married since 1864 to Sophie Emilie Roth (1846–1915), daughter of the civil servant Ferdinand Roth, who was assessor at the Reich Ministry of Finance in Frankfurt in 1849. The chemist Wilhelm Wielandt was his son.

From the death of his father in 1862 to 1914, he was the owner of the family estate and Fideikommiss' Lamprechtshof between Durlach , Stupferich and Hohenwettersbach .
