Karl von Wedel-Piesdorf

Karl Busso Gottlob von Wedel , contemporary Carl von Wedel , (born October 19, 1845 in Aachen , † November 7, 1917 in Piesdorf , Province of Saxony ) was a German administrative lawyer in the Kingdom of Prussia .

Life

Karl von Wedel was the second eldest son of Busso von Wedell from the von Wedel family . He studied at the Georg-August-University of Goettingen law . In 1865 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . After the legal trainee and assessor exams, he entered the Prussian civil service. In the Franco-Prussian War he took part in the 2nd Guard Dragoon Regiment. From 1877 to 1916 he was district administrator in the Mansfelder Seekreis . He was also a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony . From 1896 he was Prussian chamberlain .

Since 1884 von Wedel was married to Walpurgis von Trotha. He inherited Piesdorf from his brother Wilhelm von Wedel-Piesdorf and bequeathed it to Busso v. Wedel (1885-1946).
