Karlheinz Sorger

Karlheinz Sorger (born September 12, 1930 in Duisburg ; † October 21, 2019 in Laatzen ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

He studied philosophy and Catholic theology in Münster and Munich . After being ordained a priest in Münster in 1956, he was transferred to the newly founded diocese of Essen in 1958 . From 1956 to 1968 he was a chaplain , religious teacher , home manager and student pastor in Duisburg, Bochum and Essen . In 1968 he was assistant and 1971 lecturer at the PH Ruhr , Essen department. After receiving his doctorate in 1970 as Dr. theol. in Münster he taught since 1972 as a professor for Catholic theology and religious education at the PH Lower Saxony, Department of Hanover (since 1978: University of Hanover ). From 1972 to 1977 he also had a 4-hour teaching assignment per semester at the PH Lower Saxony , Dept. Göttingen . From 1972 to 1995 he was a member of the department conference and the department council. From 1973 to 1995 he was chairman of the rules of procedure committee. From 1974 he was a member of around 35 appointment commissions at the University of Hanover and in Lower Saxony. From 1979 to 1983 he was a member of the central study committee of the university. From 1974 he was a member of numerous commissions set up by the Ministry of Culture, including a. for the development of framework guidelines, for the school trial 10th year at secondary schools, for the study reform. From 1979 to 1983 he represented the FB in the transition committee according to § 152 (2) NHG. From 1983 to 1995 he was a member of the editorial board of “ru. Journal for the Practice of Religious Education ”. In 1995 he retired . Then he held a two-hour course each semester in the areas of Biblical and Historical Theology, Liturgical and Aesthetic Education. From 1995 to 1998 he headed the Catholic Religion sub-commission for the (new) development of the examination regulations for teaching posts in Lower Saxony.
