Kate Mosh was a German indie rock band that was founded in 1999 by Michael Gaese and Thom Kastning and split up in the summer of 2009.

history

After the release of an EP on their own and various line-up changes, the band released their debut album Life Is Funfair on Sinnbus in 2004 . This was followed by a European tour with New Black from Chicago, supporting act for Sparta , Aereogramme and Engine Down . At that time Florian Lüning ( Delbo ) stepped in as a drummer for a short time. After switching to the Noisolution label , Kate Mosh recorded the EP 4 AM and It's Already Hell and the album Breakfast Epiphanies (2006) before Lüning returned to his main band and Jens Gathemann took his place. In 2006 the band played more than 80 concerts in Germany and neighboring countries and became known to a larger audience through radio airplay and the press. Founding member Michael Gaese left at the end of 2006 and was replaced by Pierre Türkowsky in early 2007. In 2008 the single The U in Us was released on Flight 13 Records and then songs were recorded for a third album. It was not published and Kate Mosh parted ways in late 2008. In 2009 a farewell concert followed with a new line-up at the Immergut Festival .

Artwork

The artwork for all publications, always playing with typography , was designed by Stefan Guzy (Büro Zwölf). Hagen Decker directed the music videos for Amourette (2006) and Beep (2008) .
