Katharina Gierlach

Katharina Gierlach (* 1983 in Würzburg ), divorced from Dietling, is a German painter .

Life

Katharina Gierlach studied from 2004 to 2010 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg with Ralph Fleck . After an Erasmus grant at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino, Italy, with Luigi Carboni and a grant from the Franco-German Youth Office ( École supérieure d´Art d´Aix-en-Provence , France with Marc Aurelle), she studied with Ottmar Hörl , who made her a master class student in 2011 . In 2016 she received the international scholarship from the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus Schwandorf for a stay at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA), USA. Gierlach works in Cologne in the Atelierzentrum Ehrenfeld and in the Upper Palatinate .
