Katharina Slanina

Katharina Slanina (born May 30, 1977 ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). Since 2020 she has been the state chairwoman of the Brandenburg state association of the DIE LINKE party .

Life

Slanina studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and has a degree in business administration (FH). She works as a lawyer and is head of HR for the Left Party in the Bundestag . Before that, she worked in various committees of inquiry in the Brandenburg parliamentary group .

politics

In addition to her position as chairwoman of the Brandenburg regional association , Slanina is also the deputy district chairwoman of the Left in Barnim . From 2016 to 2020 she was a member of the regional arbitration commission of her regional association for four years . She ran for 2019 as full-time mayor of Schorfheide and was defeated by the mayor candidate of the Schorfheide Alliance with a difference of 29 votes.
