Kathrin Lemme (* 1968 in Göttingen ) is a German film producer .

Life

Kathrin Lemme originally studied law at the Free University of Berlin , whereupon she completed her legal clerkship both there and in São Paulo . Lemme worked as an agent for screenwriters while still a student . As a fully qualified lawyer , she then completed her postgraduate studies - film in the field of production management at the then newly founded Hamburg Media School with Hark Bohm . During her studies she was awarded the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award in bronze and the Gerling Producer Award at the 29th International Student Film Festival in 2000 as a producer of the film 3 Tage 44 , with Matthias Schweighöfer in the lead role . After graduating, she worked as a producer for Studio Berlin Metropol Film and for the TFC Trickompany in Hamburg . Lemme founded her first own production company in 2002 and her second in 2013 and has been a professor of media economics since 2006. Kathrin Lemme lives in Hamburg.

Kathrin Lemme is the managing director of two film production companies. In 2002 Lemme founded Lemme Film GmbH in Hamburg . The company's concept primarily provides for the production of full-length documentaries . 2013 she founded in Berlin , together with the author and film director Chris Kraus , the Four Minutes Fimproduktion GmbH . It produces "high quality, high-profile and artistically demanding films for the national and international cinema market".

Since 2006, Kathrin Lemme has held the professorship for media management at the Technical University of Ostwestfalen-Lippe , where she a. a. teaches together with the then director of Deutsche Welle , Erik Bettermann .
