Kaye-Ree (* 3. January 1979 in Isfahan , Iran as Kathrin Eftekhari ) is a German soul singer -songwriter with Persian-German roots.

Life

Kaye-Ree made her debut with the album Endless Melody. This was published in May 2009. Your CD has been discussed in various publications from Jazzthetik and Jazz thing , Westzeit and Piranha to Stereoplay and Access All Areas in print and online.

Kaye-Ree plays live as a duo, with an acoustic or electric band. She has performed at the Ronnie Scotts Club in London, the International Soul Music Summit in Atlanta, Georgia and the Soul Bar in New York. In Germany she performed at the Africa Festival in Aschaffenburg. She played openings for Busta Rhymes , Kurtis Blow , Speech Debelle and Reamonn and was a member of Stevie Wonder's background choir . She played a concert with the SWR Big Band and Paul Carrack .

In 2012 she recorded her second album, which was released in 2013. On the album New Air she worked as a singer and lyricist together with the composer and guitarist Felix Justen from Limburg an der Lahn and the producer Marco Lehmann. In 2018 she took part in the eighth season of the singing casting show The Voice of Germany and got a “4-buzzer”.
