Kayleigh McEnany (born April 18, 1988 in Tampa , Florida ) is an American lawyer , commentator and presenter . Since April 7, 2020, she has been the press secretary of the White House as the successor to Stephanie Grisham . She is the fourth person in this office since the inauguration of President Donald Trump in 2017. was the tradition of press conferences, which under Beneath her Sarah Sanders , resumed had been abandoned.

Life

McEnany attended the Academy of the Holy Names , a private Catholic school in Tampa , West Florida . She attended Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) in International Politics, in Washington, DC . She worked as a journalist and commentator a. a. for CNN . During the 2016 presidential campaign, she was very active as a commentator for the Republican candidate Donald Trump .

On February 25, 2020, on the Trish Regan Show on Fox Business Network , she praised the way Trump responded to the coronavirus pandemic .
