Keno is an Italian Progressive - death metal band from Busto Arsizio , Lombardy , created in 1996 under the name Underwise was founded.

history

The band was formed in 1996 under the name Underwise. In 2001 the band changed their name to Kenòs after a couple of line-up changes. After that, she began writing the first songs and performing some live performances. In 2002 the band released the EP Rigor mortis through MAE Productions . The EP sold about 1,000 copies in the first six months. Later in the year the line-up changed again a little. Towards the end of the year, the band came across producer Giuseppe Morazzoni . In January 2003 the band produced a new album called Intersection . The songs were recorded within four months and released through Adrenaline Records that same year . As a result, the band achieved appearances together with The Crown , Entombed , Novembre , Labirinth , Mortuary Drape , Incantation , Dismember , Ephel Duath and Rotting Christ .

In early 2007 the band released the album The Craving on Lucretia Records . The release was followed by a tour of Europe with Vital Remains . In 2008 the band began working on the album X-Torsion . The recordings took place in the Green Sound Studios . The album was released through My Kingdom Music on January 5, 2010.

In November 2011 the band released the EP Nightrain to Samara .

style

The band plays technically demanding, progressive death metal. The use of guttural singing is typical, although clear singing is occasionally used. There are also some melodic passages in the songs.
